Juggling Nutrition Magician Show
Memorial School
To bring Memorial’s nutrition unit to life, MCPE funded an interactive, in-person performance that turned healthy eating and staying active into a shared, high-energy and memorable experience. Teachers were provided follow-up resources to use in the classroom, helping kids carry those healthy choices from the assembly back to their daily lives.

Wheelock Outdoor Classroom
Wheelock School
MCPE supported the creation of a new outdoor learning space at Wheelock, literally breaking down the walls of traditional instruction and empowering teachers to design creative, engaging lessons that motivate student learning.

iCare Reading Program
Wheelock School
iCare stands for Introducing Children to Acceptance through Reading and Education. Wheelock students and classrooms will use a collection of books with themes that focus on a wide range of disabilities depicted in the characters and stories. The children’s books will be used for read alouds or discussion prompts to promote acceptance and understanding of all abilities.

Supporting Student Behavior - Professional Development for Elementary Schools
Memorial, Wheelock, and Dale Street Schools
This initiative reaches all Elementary schools, strengthening and aligning existing support systems for student engagement and social, emotional, and behavioral development while building capacity for teachers and staff. The program supports both students and staff through coherent, strengths-based, and sustainable practices. At its core, the work acknowledges that student engagement, behavior, and adult well-being are closely linked and must be addressed together for lasting change.

Understanding Our Differences
Dale Street School
The "Understanding Our Differences" program brought vital disability awareness presentations to the 4th and 5th grades at Dale Street School. These sessions were engaging and memorable for students, fostering wonderful conversations and astute questions, leaving all with a deeper understanding of the diverse experiences of their peers. By fostering empathy and open conversation, this grant helped create a more inclusive school culture where every student feels seen, respected, and supported by their community.

ELA Virtual Author Visit
Blake Middle School
Sixth Graders at Blake Middle School enjoyed a virtual author study that connected them directly with a renowned Young Adult professional writer in a structured, multi-session virtual series. This authentic literacy experience inspires creativity and motivation to read and write. The program fosters authentic learning, encourages curiosity about the writing process, and enhances academic excellence through engaging, real-world literary experiences that have a direct and lasting impact on students.

3D Printer
Blake Middle School
At Blake Middle School, hands-on 3D printing and design workshops are now a versatile option across content areas and grade levels. Students are empowered to visualize, iterate, and create their own ideas with intentional design. 3D printing serves as a bridge between digital creativity and engineering, fostering "inventor" mindsets and solving real-world problems.

Building Belonging: Cultivating Inclusive School Cultures
Blake Middle School and Medfield High School
Comprehensive, multi-phase professional development and student engagement program that aligns faculty students and community members through shared language while equipping high school students with the tools to facilitate peer conversations and help foster inclusive, identity-affirming school cultures.

Memorial School
SumBlox, a unique tool to deepen students’ conceptual understanding of numbers, was introduced into every Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade classroom as well as specialized learning and math rooms. By turning addition and multiplication into a tactile experience, SumBlox fosters an inclusive environment where students of all learning styles and abilities can meet high academic standards through play and discovery.

Regulation Reset Tools
Wheelock School
The much- needed library of regulation tools at Wheelock was expanded and refreshed to meet the learning needs of all students. Providing access to these tools during the day allows for developmentally appropriate regulation opportunities, so that all students can feel ready and motivated to learn.

Library Listening Lounge
Memorial, Wheelock, and Dale Street Schools
A love of reading was fostered for all students in PreK through Grade 5 with modern, updated listening centers in the Memorial, Wheelock, and Dale Street school libraries. This program enhanced student engagement and accessibility, expanding literacy opportunities for all learners.

Robotics In Motion
Dale Street School
Dale Street School’s robotics program was enhanced by new Sphero Bolt+ and additional Ozobot Evo robots. These tools are essential for providing a differentiated and enriched coding experience for grade 4-5 students, bridging the gap between basic logic and complex problem-solving.

Sensory Tools: Weighted Blankets
Dale Street School
Dale Street students were provided these weighted sensory tools to help calm the nervous system and improve self regulation, addressing the underlying sensory and self-regulation needs that impact learning. This innovative approach, incorporating research from occupational therapy and neuroscience, provides an enriched learning environment for all and addresses the needs of all students.

Community Author Visit and Book Club
Blake Middle School
James Robinson, the author of “Whale Eyes”, provided engaging and informative presentations with a robust Q+A to students and staff at Blake Middle School. This successful author visit not only garnered interest and excitement in reading and participation in Blake Community Book Club, but also opened students' minds to all the different people and experiences that are out in the world.

The Blake Library now has an innovative way for students to engage with literacy and their Middle School community: using safe, closed-loop presentation devices to record and share student-made book reviews, library promos, and communication about school-wide activities.
