MCPE's Entertaining for Education
Thanks to the support of the Medfield community, MCPE's Entertaining for Education (E4E) fundraiser has helped to fund many worthwhile programs in our schools. The idea is simple: members of the community host a party of any kind, big or small, for adults or kids, at your home or elsewhere, with a theme or without! Guests make a donation to MCPE as their "ticket" to the party.
We will be bringing back the E4E fundraiser for the 2011-2012 school year and welcome any and all kinds of ways to have fun while supporting MCPE. Your parties translate into many, many wonderful programs, events and equipment that we are able to fund beyond the scope of the school budgets. Thank you for considering hosting an E4E party! Tips for throwing a successful party
- Invite lots of friends!
- Register your event with our Party Host Coordinator, Laura Eselius (359-8412 or at ).
- Invitations – attached is a sample that you may use or modify. If you choose to design your own, we ask that you do your best to incorporate our "E4E –Entertaining for Education" wording and logo.
- Event Expenses – as part of your contribution to the MCPE, you are agreeing to cover the costs of your event.
- Collecting Donations – MCPE's suggested donation is $35.00, to be collected before or at your event. A decorated MCPE donation box will be provided for your convenience. A packet of MCPE receipts for donors will be given for tax purposes. (Contact Laura for these items.)
- If you are hosting a party for school-age kids, consider contacting their school to ask about school related activities or events for the date you are considering in order to avoid any conflicts.
- Additional Fundraising – Hosts are only expected to ask for a donation to the MCPE. However, we welcome other fundraising opportunities at your event if you desire (for example - a raffle item or a game that ties to your theme).
- Please contact Laura Eselius (359-8412 or at ) when your collection box is ready to be picked up.
- Tax Receipt for Hosts: You are allowed to claim the cost of throwing your party as an "in kind" donation to MCPE. If you would like a receipt from MCPE, please keep track of your expenses and save the receipts. After your party, simply get us a copy of your receipts and we’ll issue you a receipt for your donation.
Thank you for supporting the Medfield Coalition for Public Education. Your fundraising efforts are helping to raise money for enrichment programs in the Medfield Public Schools. Given tight school budgets, each dollar received makes a difference to our students. Enjoy your E4E event!
